Hello Dear Families!

Sharing the richness and beauty of our Catholic faith is a sacred calling entrusted to all of us. In the midst of all that shapes our lives, we recognize that it is ultimately Christ who forms our hearts. Our devoted team of catechists and clergy humbly seek to walk alongside you, partnering with your family so that your experience at St. Thomas Aquinas may draw each of you more deeply into the life God has lovingly created you to live.  

We desire to form hearts and minds in truth and holiness, trusting that in doing so, we are led ever closer to the lasting joy and peace that come from God alone. Thank you for allowing us the privilege of accompanying your family on this beautiful journey of faith through our Faith Formation programs.

Registrations are now open for our 2026-2027 year of Faith Formation!

If you are new and not yet registered at St. Thomas Aquinas, please be sure to complete the PARISH REGISTRATION FORM in addition to finishing this form. We will not be able to complete this registration without the parish registration.

Participants in STA Faith Formation Programs need to be registered with the parish. If you have questions or special circumstances preventing registration please contact us at FaithFormation@sta.org

This form maybe completed and submitted without payment. Payment for the 2026-2027 year is due by August 1st 2026. Do not delay your registration due to financial circumstances. Scholarships are available for those in need. Contact Faith Formation Office at (770) 475-4508 or faithformation@sta.org to make other payment arrangements. All payment plans or scholarship requests must be completed and signed by August 1st, 2026 to ensure your preferred time and spot.

If you are unable to come during office hours, please contact the Faith Formation Office to schedule an appointment at the time that works with your schedule.

Sacramental Preparation Programs

*Two years of formation classes required before a child can receive a sacrament

OCIA Order of Christian Initiation of Adults

The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults is a formation process for adults who wish to be baptized for the first time, for adults from other Christian traditions who wish to inquire about our Catholic way of life, and for those Catholics who seek to complete their Christian Initiation through the sacraments of Confirmation and Eucharist. A community of inquirers forms each fall and each proceeds at his or her own pace to the Sacraments of Initiation. Sessions are held on Thursday evenings.
$150 per year. 2-year preparation-
This is not in addition to a class registration fee

Sponsors for Adult Initiation

If you are a Catholic who finds joy in your faith and are willing to accompany someone in the process of becoming a Catholic as a friend and companion on the journey, consider being an RCIA Sponsor. Training is provided.

Sacrament of Confirmation (9th-12th)

The Archdiocese of Atlanta requires that the Sacrament of Confirmation be received when the candidate is at least 16 years of age and in 10th Grade. Teens should enroll in our NEW year-round Confirmation Preparation program. The Archdiocese of Atlanta also requires two consecutive years of faith formation leading up to receiving the Sacrament of Confirmation, so our Confirmation class will last two years for anyone entering their first year of formation. If a teen was enrolled in Life Teen during the school year of 2023-2024 AND is currently in 10^th grade or higher, they are eligible to be Confirmed in the spring of 2025. Life Teen is no longer an additional requirement for Confirmation at St. Thomas Aquinas.
$150 – The price includes Catholic youth bible and a yearly retreat. No charge for confirmation sacrament

First Reconciliation & First Communion

Children who are baptized generally celebrate First Reconciliation and First Communion in the second grade. Parents will enroll them in the First Communion Preparation program in the fall of 2nd grade.
$30 – Includes prayer book, 2 retreats. This fee is in addition
to the class registration fee and is paid during
2nd year preparation.
